I used to be a member of Hoylake and Meols Open Parks and Spaces and as soon as I can get hold of £5 I will be joining again. Hoylake looks really lovely with the planters and the tree all lit up at night in the Row looks beautiful. It is good to hear of the fund raising for Hoylake in Bloom. Children from Holy Trinty school,led by Mrs Protheroe, planted hundreds of spring flowering bulbs in Grove park on Tuesday afternoon. A huge thank you to them for starting of, what we hope, will be a regeneration of this park. Two planters similar to our high street planters will soon be in place in the playgroud area. Please could we respectfully ask people to keep their dogs out of this area and to clear up any mess in the rest of the park. We know most dog owners are very carefull but just a few spoil it for everyone else. It was very unpleasent having to clean up before the children came on Tuesday. Fortunately, as usuall, my pockets were full of (clean) poo bags. Donations for flowers have been pouring in. A huge thank you to all who have donated. We hope our efforts with the winter planting will be as good as the summer!
