From a golfing point of view I guess there's a good chance of Hoylake's famed 'mighty winds' blowing in September. This should spur on the King's Gap Ct development and with the expected return of The Open in 2014 seems to cement Hoylake firmly into the top flight of international golf venues. Three cheers for the RLGC for bringing Hoylake's golfing glory days back from the dead. Incidentally, I see in the Wirral Council's full Council minutes that they are to commission a report on the future of Hoylake town centre. I wonder if that will lead to anything. The golf events really do provide an opportunity for leverage for those working to get the Hoylake town centre and promenade regeneration projects back on the agenda.
