Hoylake R.F.C. are pleased to announce a very special evening with one of Liverpool’s finest historians Mr Frank Carlyle.
Frank has a master’s degree in 19th-century history, English literature, and is an authority on the First World War, but it was his unique personality and character coupled with his immense historical knowledge of his beloved home city of Liverpool that brought him to the attention of television and radio producers and catapulted him into the public eye.
He is a much sought after lecturer, whether it is the Royal College of Heart Surgeons, or Knights of the Realm, or the ordinary man in the street. Everyone enjoys and becomes a part of Frank’s amazing energy, humour, knowledge and most of all his love and enthusiasm for history, especially his home city of Liverpool.
All proceeds from this event are for the upcoming redevelopment of our club.
