Here some local items of news:
Local Bar Renamed
I see that Eskimo Bar in Albert Road has been renamed to Glassfire
New Cash Point
I’ve just noticed that there is a new cash point machine at the Post Office on Market Street. I’m not sure how long that has been there so this might be old news to some of you.
Kitchen Food Waste Collections
A few weeks I published an article about household rubbish recycling and mentioned a possible introduction of a fourth recycling bin. According to the Wirral News the idea of such a bin is being considered.
House Prices
Whilst figures for Hoylake are not available, the Land Registry reports that for Wirral as a whole average house prices have fallen by -1.8% in the last month and by -13% in the last 12 months.
Holiday Time
Unfortunately I won’t be posting anything for about a fortnight as we’re about to go on holiday. But I’ll be looking forward to catching up when we get back. In the meantime please keep me posted with your Hoylake news by using the contact form or emailing to news [at] hoylakejunction.com (replace the spaces and [at] with @ ). Note that some comments might remain unapproved until I return – apologies in advance if that happens to you but I have to manually approve some new comments in order to block lots of spurious ones.
