Wirral Ukuleles is a new club that is now open to anyone interested in playing an instrument that is becoming more and more popular. There’s a Christmas gift idea for you perhaps! Ukuleles are widely available and seem to be around the £20 bracket for a starter ukulele.
A venue hasn’t yet been confirmed but its most likely going to be in Hoylake, with a first meeting to take place early next year.
West Kirby resident and budding ukulele player Jon Bloor has published this new website which explains a little bit a more and will have news updates as-and-when. You can also email Jon at wirralukes@me.com

Hello John…..I play a ukulele-banjo at Vanilla sometimes and at several Open Mic nights in the locality….for example The Red Door on a Monday usually about 9.30ish but this Monday there is also an Open Mic night at Vanilla so will probably go there first ! Certainly will support your venture. Good luck and see you soon. Gerry.

I have a ukulele, and happened to dust it off yesterday!! I am a beginner but would be keen to get involved. I might be away on 31st, but if not will be there, otherwise let me know when the next meeting is.
