My wife got stuck in a traffic jam on Meols Drive this morning, heading back from West Kirby. There was a queue in the other direction too. The reason? Apparently a lorry had driven into the barriers at the automated crossing on Carr Lane.
I went up to have a nose to find that Network Rail were already on with fixing the damaged barrier.
