Hoylake Cottage Events
Sarah Green, the Community Fundraiser for Hoylake Cottage has sent in this packed schedule of events:
28th September: Tombola at Arrow Park Hospital: Hoylake Cottage will take over the fundraising kiosk at the local hospital. Patients and visitors will play the tombola to win a prize.
3rd October: Car Boot sale at Clatterbridge Hospital: Our regular car boot sale at the Clatterbridge site. Pitches are £10 and sold on a first come first served basis.
8th October: Ladies Lunch at Royal Liverpool Golf Club: Ladies will enjoy a 3 course lunch, fashion show, raffle, YSL make up demonstrations and the chance to peruse the Boodles jewellery collection.
November – Make a Will Month: Local law firms will give up their time to make a wills in return for a minimum £50 donation to Hoylake Cottage
8th – 21st November: Hoylake Cottage Pie Competition: Local restaurants will compete against each other to make the best cottage pie. Customers will vote on the cottage pies and the short listed chefs will go through to the final where a panel of judges will decided the winner at the Post Sunlight Gourmet Food Fayre
18th & 19th November: Christmas Bazaar at Royal Liverpool Golf Club: Fabulous stalls selling cakes, jewellery, clothes, pictures, home wares, candles and much more – products that you generally cannot buy from the high street. Great to stock up on Christmas gifts!
13th December: Lights of Love: An evening of carol singing, mince pies and switching on the Christmas tree lights. Each light is dedicated to a loved one to remember a birthday, anniversary or memory for a donation to Hoylake Cottage.
15th December: Charity Bag Pack: Packing customers’ shopping at the local Morrisons store in return for a donation to Hoylake Cottage. £1,400 in the target to beat from last year!
Hoylake Village Life Do’s
Movie and Meal night.
The hilarious comedy My Big Fat Greek Wedding will be shown on Sunday 10th October followed by a Greek meal with entertainment at Athena’s Restaurant in Market Street Hoylake, all for only £20. The film will be shown at nearby Melrose Hall, starting at 5pm.
Bob Buckle, Folksinger
A fundraising evening featuring Bob Buckle, Folksinger. This will be in Melrose
hall, Melrose Avenue, Hoylake on 16-Oct at 7.30pm. The price of a ticket is £10.
