Public Meeting: Licensing issues

Some Hoylake establishments want to amend their current licensing arrangements and you have an opportunity to hear about and comment upon the proposals.

A public meeting is being held this Monday evening (24, October) to discuss a range of Hoylake licensing issues and you’ll be able to air your views – for and against.

Various issues to be discussed include:

  • Hoylake venues being able to serve alcohol into the early hours of the morning
  • venues to be able to serve alcohol without the requirement to serve food

    I remember in the ’70s the only option after closing time at 10.30 was to go to the Grape Escape wine bar on The Row and buy one of their excellent pizzas so allowing the night to be stretched until I think it was midnight.
