The above photo of the Royal Liverpool Golf Club clubhouse is the last of the batch of early 1930s photos kindly sent to me by Paul Doleman.
On first glance the building doesn’t seem to have changed much at all. Compared to a more recent photo (below – which isn’t quite from the same angle), you can see that the two clocks are still in place and a few windows have been altered or removed. I don’t think the single storey building on the left in the old photo exists any more …but I can’t quite remember?
By the way. For those of you who aren’t local, the house next door but one that suffered extensive fire damage after being struck by lightning is currently undergoing extensive repair work.
