Hoylake hovercraft service that never really was: Follow-up

As I’d hoped, there was a good response to the article about the Hoylake hovercraft service that never really was! Interesting to read the comments for that initial article suggest that residents of Stanley Road effectively blocked the hovercraft from operating in and out of Hoylake.

Anyway, here’s a couple of photos of the (pretty impressive) hovercraft on the beach at Moreton, kindly sent to me by Roland Colcutt:

And many thanks to Jan Foster for forwarding these documents that her brother Ian Bernstein, who now lives in Feurtevntura, has kept in a drawer for all these years. Ticketing that’s much more civilised than speedy boarding don’t you think?

I have just unearthed the same certificates and photos that Jan has posted. They were among piles of archive stuff belonging to my parents and this cold and snowy day I finally started sorting it. Amazing what you find.
