By chance earlier today, I stumbled upon some unusual prints of Hoylake – you can see (and buy) all four by clicking here.
I like the one of Hoylake train station – it looks rather sophisticated. If anybody has a similar old photo of Hoylake Station that they’d like to share, do get in touch at news [at sign] hoylakejunction.com
And who remembers the great Billie Jean King (bio) playing tennis in the Rothmans Hoylake Open at (presumably Ashton Park) in West Kirby in 1971? Tobacco sponsorship not such an issue back then.
