Hoylake Village Life

I mentioned back in November about the newly formed Hoylake Village Life.

The new official website has just been launched so do take a look to find out more. The team of volunteers aim to do what they can to improve and promote Hoylake for the benefit of the local community. One of their initial projects is to improve the look of Market Street by making use of the empty shops – unfortunately something we are seeing more of. Other villages around the UK use empty shops as galleries for local artists, exhibition areas for local schools, etc and it is hoped that the same can be achieved in Hoylake. If you’d like to help then they’d love to hear from you!

There’s a fund raising event this evening at Vanilla Lounge in Market Street. It’s an evening with Ian Powell, tickets are £7 and the start time is 7.30pm.

The group are having a launch event next week; the public is invited to attend and have their say on how Hoylake can be improved for the future.

When: Friday 12th February
Time: 7.30pm
Where: Melrose Hall
Who: All welcome !

Congratulations on the village website, looks very smart and a great start. Looking through it makes you realise just how many businesses there are in Hoylake.

    Good luck with the campaign.

Thanks for the encouragement and much needed positive approach to Hoylake Village Life. We really do need your support. Please come and hear what HVL and other groups have to say at 7.30pm on 12 Feb at Melrose Hall.

This is a very exciting time for Hoylake; we are viewing the current decline as an opportunity for the community to do lots creative and innovative things to get the village back on its feet.
