Hoylake cafe closed again

spotty blue teapotIt seems that McKinnells Cafe (formerly Spotty Blue Teapot) closed for business last weekend.

The cafe reopened as McKinnells after Spotty Blue Teapot closed a few weeks ago. The shop front signage was not replaced which caused some confusion about what the cafe was actually called. Tables and chairs have been removed. McKinnells had been the subject of mixed reviews on Trip Advisor.

sorry to hear-I will pray and am doing-i enjoyed being lost in wonder and hope there and found it conducive for my writing ,when the wifi link was on-bought children’s books and had a general sense of well being enjoyed the food too i am an artist and it had an atmosphere that enabled me to day dream-I will pray again as it is where i started writing out my Izzy Pop child hood detective stories and hope to continue in that same space -forgive my lazy lack of punctuation and spelling -i must have spaces and freedom that others lack to do what dreamers do best.Amen

was pleased to see an old friend there too when recently enjoyed tea and toast under their new name oh well I am sure God has a plan amen-perhaps the new business will think of having one of my forests then others can dream like me-happy to give a reasonable quote when it gets taken over -preferably by another dreamer who has faith in something greater than their own accounts amen

I was there on the 9th July collecting PA equipment used for a poetry session on the Festival of Firsts, there were removal men taking the kitchebn equiopment as well and there also appears to be a For Sale sign up.
Incidentally when I phoned to arrange to collect the equipment there was no indication that they were closing.
When I got there I asked if they were refurbishing ‘moving’ was the response.
