The organising team for the Parade Centenary have planned a week of events to mark the unique occassion. All the following events are to take place at Hoylake Community Centre in Hoyle Road.

 

100 Years of The Parade School Exhibition

This free exhibition will be open to visitors 22nd/28th June 2009 10.30am-3.30pm – everyone welcome, refreshments also available.

The exhibition will celebrate 100 years of the Parade School building and old Hoylake and will include a recreated Victorian/Edwardian classroom.

The Parade School Story

An illustrated talk by Heather Chapman held on Tuesday 23rd June 2.00pm and Friday 26th June 7.30pm

Reunion Party

A ticket-only reunion party for former staff & pupils on Saturday 27th June 7.30pm. Phone Pat Ireland for more details Tel: 0151 632 6827

Casino (Fun) Night

A fun casino and buffet night for for the current user groups of the centre and their guests. Ticket only. Tel: 0151 632 2889 for more details.

    Would it be possible to post some of the photo exhibition to this site please, so that those of us unable to attend may at least might sample a little “nostalgia”.

    The celebrations are going very well and the exhibition is fantastic – to all readers – come along and see the history of the school and it’s place in the community since 1909.
