The former Hoylake Parish Church that was once in Trinity Road has been featured before on the site and in fact this old photo of the church received nearly 350 comments.
The above photo, kindly sent in by Ricky Cooper, captures the old church in colour. And the following photo from Ian Powers shows how the interior looked:
It’s all been said!
What a great picture John – have seen many recently in B & W but this one really is lovely. Not a local church for me but went to several weddings there and family funerals when I married into a Hoylake family
What a super photo, takes me back to the fifties when I went to church there every Sunday..as one did in those days.
I missed this photo as I was away in September but have now caught up with it,
I am trying to find out about my Mother – Katherine Wray. or Catherine – We lived at 46 Charles Road. I had some info but my computer died and I lost quite a bit of stuff. My Mother died when I was 11. I went to West Kirby High for a year then went to live in Lincolnshire with an Aunt and Uncle so am trying to piece together my early life. I seem to have “blanked” a lot of it..doesanyone remember my Mother, or me etc Some people have been kind enough to contact me but am back to square one in some cases..I would be really grateful for any info.
