New plans (link) for the conversion of the old Hoylake lifeboat station have been submitted to Wirral Council this week. The building was last used as the Hoylake Lifeboat Museum – that closed a couple of years ago.
If approved, the building (the original boat shed building – left) would be converted to mixed-use with a residential apartment on a converted and extended upper floor of the building and the ground floor being converted to an outdoor activity centre. The newer building (right), the former tractor shed, would be retained for potential museum/cafe use.
The triangle of land to the side of the buildings is owned by Wirral Council and is not part of the proposed plans.
