After receiving a few emails and comments from person or persons unknown I thought I’d mention the issue.
If you send me an email from an address that is subsequently deleted or use the contact form but use an invalid email address then I can’t publish the detail sorry.
Without being able to verify who you are or the information you detail, I won’t publish what you send. You can still be Mickey Mouse, Big Vern or whoever (no, those names haven’t been used, they’re just examples) so long as the information is available elsewhere and I can find it.
If you want to send me news but ask to remain anonymous that’s fine of course.
As with most sites that allow readers to comment and share their views spam is an issue. I use some automated systems to block most spam and then manually block any that still gets through. If you’re a first time commenter then your comment is held for moderation …that’s nothing personal, it’s just a way of catching any spam that might otherwise get through. Sometimes comments are posted by people who use false names or invalid email addresses. Again, these comments will not be published. It’s all a bit of a pain, but you’d be amazed at just how relentless the spammers are sometimes.
The few bits of information that I have received aren’t t00 earth shattering by the way. I would love to break a big story though relating to Hoylake and maybe one day that’ll happen, who knows! I can almost picture myself as Robert Redford in All The President’s Men 🙂
