It was grey bin day today in Hoylake but due to the poor weather all Wirral bin collections have been cancelled. You are advised to leave your bin out in case later collections are possible – though this looks increasingly unlikely.
Whilst Hoylake has received a little snow today it seems we have so-far escaped the worst of the weather seen elsewhere around the country.

Please leave your bins out for the catch up crews, also make sure householders vehicles are not blocking the more narrow streets, each day the “Biffa” Inspectors have been out early driving routes to see if the wagons could go out, however this has not been possible for obvious reasons, both drivers and loaders have been in work waiting for the go- ahead but this has been unrealistic as if a wagon was to skid into either a parked car or person the damage would be considerable. The”Globe” in the past has printed some pretty negative letters, but everyones rubbish would be collected this week if it were safe to do so.
