If you are regular reader of the site then you will know all about the Parade School centenary celebrations that happened earlier this summer.
A Centenary Open Day is taking place on Bank Holiday Monday, 31st August between 10am and 6pm. It’s the same day the Lifeboat Day and as the community centre is immediately opposite the new lifeboat station you’ve only got to cross over the road!
There’s a further chance to see the Edwardian classroom, an exhibition of the old Parade School and old Hoylake (there are some really great photos) and you will have the chance to see the building as it is today. There will also be a local history/heritage fair (for table booking tel: 0151 625 7013).
Refreshments will be served all day and admission is free – so make the most of your visit in Hoylake this forthcoming Bank Holiday and visit the Community Centre.
