Deplanting Day

Jan Foster of Hoylake In Bloom has been in touch to let us all know of the forthcoming Deplanting Day! As the summer flowers in the tubs and containers in Hoylake and Meols need deplanting (not sure that’s a word!) in readiness for next season, volunteers are needed to help clear all the plants.

There is a perk! You are free to keep any geraniums and such like so you can overwinter them and plant them back out in your own garden next year. The Hoylake In Bloom team simply don’t have the space to store them all in their own homes and it’d be a shame to waste them.

When: Saturday, October 17th at 10.00 am
Where: Meet outside Home Bargains, Market Street
Who: All welcome – just turn up
Contact: Jan Foster 07725 540049

The following Saturday you are invited to help with the planting of bulbs and winter bedding.

Don’t forget it only costs £5 a year to join Friends of Hoylake and Meols in Bloom. Contact Jan or visit the library for more information.
