Friday Photo: Petrol Prices

petrol prices

A topical subject for the Friday Photo this week – petrol prices!

The photo above is of the petrol station on Birkenhead Road, next to Sandringham Avenue. I snapped the photo after this weeks Budget and after the prices were changed. I have seen more expensive petrol prices at this garage (£1.36 for unleaded) and no doubt in a few weeks time the price will have edged-up yet again. Depending upon your viewpoint, motorists are either paying a fair and just price for a fuel that is not eco-friendly or are being forced to pay evermore for an everyday essential.

What do you reckon, how long before it hits £1.50 / litre? Heck, it’ll be as expensive as printer ink soon !

If that really says £130.9 I,m filling up tomorrow, odd to have Unleaded & Diesel the same price too, normally Diesel is dearer ?

Jeez, you should hear them moan here in Canada, it’s at $1.25 to $1.35 per litre here…and the pound is worth $1.60 or thereabouts…luxury!

I noticed that when I filled up there yesterday. There must be a problem with the numbers on that side of the board as the diesel price on the other side read £136.9. Still a lot cheaper than the one on the stretch though!

My hometown is Hoylake, now live in Canada. Yes I guess we are lucky and should not be complaining about the gas prices.
