F & T Holden Dressmakers was once a Market Street business in Hoylake that also had some fancy hats by the looks. The photo is circa 1930 and can you guess what it has become 82 years later?

As a slight aside, you might like to read this blog post that I stumbled upon by an ex-resident of Hoylake (now living in Edmonton, Canada by the looks) as she recounts her memories of ice cream, Flavours and other businesses and characters in Hoylake.
Small world.
I was trying to remember what was there in the 60s and 70s when I lived in Hoylake (moved to Moreton in 1982), but haven’t a clue. The only shop on that block that I had any interest in at that time was the one on the corner (Carphone Warehouse), which was a toy shop in the 60s I think then Mr. Jackson took it over and converted it to Sportswise before moving to Albert Road at which point it became Rox Records. I think it was still Rox Recored when I moved and for some years afterwards (when I moved to West Kirby in 1991 there was still a Rox Records in The Crescent).
