Merseyrail Passenger News

merseyrailDid you read the Merseyrail flyer that was inside this weeks Wirral News? Did you happen to notice the monthly season ticket cost to James Street is £68.80 from Hoylake – but from West Kirby it’s slightly less at £68.00? I suspect that this is a mistake but I’ve emailed them for confirmation. UPDATE: Merseyrail confirm it’s a typing mistake – it’s £68.80 from West Kirby too.

Also be aware that you’ll need to ensure that you have your ticket before you embark on a Merseyrail journey. They are implementing a new zero tolerance approach and anyone on a train without a ticket will be fined £20. You will no longer be able to buy a ticket from a guard. Source
