Hoylake resident and organiser of the Open Studio Tour Micheline Robinson has sent me details of this forthcoming event:
For five years now, the Robinson family have been creating a gingerbread house/village at Christmas time that has been decorated by our children and friends. It has become a well loved tradition which we would now like to share with the community. We are therefore inviting all Hoylakians, to help us build a miniature gingerbread village on the 12th of December at Melrose Hall. It’s to bring people of all ages together.
Please bring your pre-made, gingerbread house or other gingerbread creations (trees, men etc.) to the hall between 11:00 and 1:00. Then, there will be a decorating period (sweets and icing sugar – parents with their children) from 1:00 to 3:00, culminating with the completed village, from 3:00 to 4:00 for viewing!
Enjoy refreshments and other treats at the hall cafe to the sound of Christmas music throughout the event.
Hope you can join us!
