Old Pool Site Landscaped Again

June 6, 2009 by John · 1 Comment

weedsLandscape contractors were back working on the ground next to the new lifeboat station earlier this week – the site of the old outdoor pool. I mentioned previously that this ground was landscaped for a second time just after Christmas.

Only last weekend I noticed how tall the weeds were getting – as shown above. Much of it has now been cut back and the ground has been rolled again.

I know that the council are discussing redevelopment plans for this area and the promenade in general – in the meantime this public place is unusable and the weeds will need to kept in check.

Yes I saw the JCB raking it back to soil/sand again, but why waste time doing this every 2 months, why don’t they do something with it before it’s too late, as the August bank holiday RNLI fun day is only 12 weeks away.
