The 2010 winner of the Professional Masterchef competition on BBC1 is set to open a new restaurant in Hoylake.
Claire Lara (pictured) is to open a 50 seat restaurant to be called La Mouette (The Seagull) and is to be part of the forthcoming Royal Hilbre Hotel & Spa Hotel on Meols Drive (website). Claire was the winner of 2010 Professional Masterchef competition.
Claire, who is from Wirral, told the Caterer Search publication: “My son George is nearly five months and will be nine months when we open. It will be the first time back in the kitchen [since the birth] and I am very much looking forward to the madness. Since having George I haven’t worked in this sort of environment and am hoping it’s just like riding a bike and you never forget!”
The restaurant, which will offer refined modern European food, is scheduled to open on 15th August and is to be officially opened by Michel Roux Jr.
