Revised plans for tennis courts development

Revised plans for the redevelopment of tennis courts in Hoylake have been submitted to Wirral Council.

Outline planning permission for the redevelopment of the St Luke’s tennis courts on Charles Road (behind the Co-op) was granted in 2015. That was for a mixed development of 4 mews-style houses and 10 apartments.

Now, developers Blueoak Estates Limited are seeking permission for the construction of 10 houses on the site. This would be made up of 2 terraces of 3 houses and 1 terrace of 4 houses. Each would have a designated parking space. You can see the application with associated documentation right here.

The application suggests that the former tennis courts have been unused for some time and the location has seen some anti-social behaviour.
