Not something that you see that often, the model boating lake (pool) has been drained for some reason? And one little fella didn’t make it unfortunately!
Please does anyone know if it will be refilled again, my little grandson wants to float his boat again with me .?????
I have been living in America for many years so I was absolutely shocked when I recently received a photo of Hoylake beach and promenade, I remember the days of the swimming pool, Clarks canoes, and the boating lake, then further along by the water fountain the red cross hut ,then the gardens with the bowling greens, the gardens were kept pristine and there used to be a bandstand a bit further along, the sand on the beach at the bottom of trinity road was so good we used to have sand castle competitions with prizes given for the best castle, uncle Stan had his services on a Sunday, and a punch and Judy show, and Donkey rides, what has happened to Hoylake it used to be a booming seaside town, I think the visitors outnumbered all the residents in Hoylake and they all came for the beach
the lake is repaired cleaned and filled and once again in use
