The blue hoardings that have been covering the former auction showrooms at The Quadrant have finally been removed. The old, large glass windows have been replaced with brickwork, new hardwood doors and sandstone windows.
Wilson Grange, a financial services company currently based in West Kirby, is set to open new office in the building in January. Following the closure of the HSBC branch next door it has been rumoured that a different high street bank will also open in the new offices.
What do you think – is this office something of an improvement or would you prefer to see new shop premises? Leave a comment and have your say!
What a revelation when the hoardings came down. That building is now in keeping with the rest of the Quadrant.
Congratulations to the Company and good luck with the business.
It looks like a real quality job on an important gateway building. Well done for not going for the cheapest option.
I wonder whether this building always had a shop front as it always seemed rather incongruous.
The plans submitted to the council (freely available online) had Yorkshire Bank/Building Society featured. Don’t know if that’s any longer the case.
I think it’s a lovely job, those new windows fit in beautifully. Congrats to the team that created it. I’d love to see what it’s like inside.
