I stumbled upon the War Graves Photographic Project (official site) recently and considered it worth a mention. The aim is to undertake:
the immense task of recording, archiving and making available to the descendants, images of the graves or memorial listings of every service casualty since the outbreak of the First World War.
Whilst it appears that no photographs have yet been submitted you can view those buried at Hoylake Cemetery (Holy Trinity) by clicking this link. Of course you’ll be able to search for other local and national cemeteries. Do let me know if you subsequently contribute to this project.
This really is a great site, thanks for pointing it out. I had previoulsy used the Commonwealth War Graves Commission web site to find that a distant relative Roy (Thomas Rodick) Borrowman was burried in Alexandria (and not in Moreton Parish Church where he also has a memorial stone). I now have a link to a Photograph of his grave which I would want to visit if I was ever in Alexandria.
It was also touching to look at those guys in Holy Trinity and see lots of well known Hoylake family names there. I have allways used the grave of A E Ross (HMS Pembroke) as a pointer to an unmarked family grave where my grandparents and their triplets are burried.
Hi, i have also been on this site lately and found my Great Uncle Frank (Jackie) Crowder and located him to Frankby Cemetery, Section and Grave Number included! Amazing and very much appreciated.

He is also mentioned on the memorial cross at the Royal British Legion Hall, Pasture Rd, Moreton.
