My Mom joan Ryding worked in the girls Hostel in the early Thirties it’s where she met my Dad George As he was a green grocer & he delivered fresh veg daily.
Am I imagining that one of these houses was the Ellen Gore childrens Home.? Jackie Hall might have the answer.

The Ellen Gonner? home was at the bottom of Trinity Road just a couple of houses from Brynmor.
My sister in law was a childrens nurse there in the 60
