Hoylake Chosen As Park Window

Hoylake has been chosen along with five other Wirral locations as a window in the Mersey Waterfront Regional Parks strategic framework. Here’s what they say about the regional park:

The Park spans more than 70 miles (120km) of the City Region’s coastline. It takes in the River Mersey, its estuary, and parts of the rivers Dee and Ribble. It is a major internationally acclaimed attraction with a unique sense of place for people to live, work, invest and visit.

It seems to me (the objectives seem a little vague) that the idea is to improve the river facing stretch of Hoylake in an attempt to attract further tourism and to improve the area for local residents.

When I find out more I’ll let you know.
