For information.
I happened to notice in an item (opens in new window) in the Daily Post that the redevelopment of New Brighton is to include a new model boating lake. I am not aware of when this new boating lake will be open but will it have a negative impact on Hoylake’s boating lake at all do you think?
The Hoylake boating lake will be further improved when additional seating is installed – as mentioned in the comments on this post. The lake is very popular – you’ll regularly see people sailing their boats and you would expect it to become more popular as the weather improves.
I think therte’s already a model boating lake in New Brioghton so maybe this is an upgrade or re-siting of that one.
It is , it is because of the building of Morrisons on the Promenade which is going ahead now.
The Hoylake Model Boat Club will not be worried about this as they have known all about it for some time.
Can’t see that it will affect the model boating lake in Hoylake as Hoylake Model Boat Club is a separate group of individuals that formed a new club on the 1st October 2009
specifically to use the newly refurbished facility that we have on our prom.
