I spotted this forthcoming event that’s happening in Neston but wondered if it might be of interest as I know there’s a few choir groups in Hoylake:
The inaugural Northwest Choir Fest is taking place this April at Neston. Here’s what they say about it:
All community choirs and singing groups are welcome to take part.
People who do not belong to a participating group or choir are also welcome.
Young people (under 16 years) are welcome, as long as they are paid for at the full rate and are able to fully participate.
Whether your group is new or well established, with 4 members or 40, this day will be a wonderful opportunity to share and experience mass singing in harmony with other singers from all over the North West. The cost is £20 per person (Choir Director will be Free). Refreshments throughout the day are included.
The day will consist of fun mass singing workshops in the morning & afternoon.
The workshops will be taught by ear, so the ability to read music is not necessary!
At the end of the day, Choirs/groups are invited to perform one or two songs (maximum duration 5 minutes) of your own choice as an informal sharing.
