There has been just enough snowfall in Hoylake for people to enjoy the pleasures of sledging in Queens Park. With most local schools closed due to the bad weather, local children and their parents have been enjoying themselves on a wide range of sledges.
The small hills in Queens Park that are coated in very slippery ice offer enough of a slope to make sledging worthwhile. Children have been using plastic or homemade sledges, surfboards, tea trays, plastic boxes and even plastic bags.
