Thanks to both Mark Howard and Ian Davies who both got in touch this morning to alert me to this rather large pot hole that’s appeared in Kings Gap. As Ian suggests …someone will be looking in to it

I noticed that the hole is still there…no sign of any ‘fixing’!!
Anyone any ideas what caused the hole and when it will be fixed?
Thanks
Mark
I drove passed the Green Lodge this morning and the hole had been repaired overnight or very early this morning as it was still open then.
Yeh…I spotted that too. It was still a hole yesterday morning, but they appear to have fixed it..
Afraid not… that was only a temporary fix and part of the solution. The issue is quite a serious one and it looks like the whole road will now need to be dug up at some point in the next few days… work has already started. A water main had been damaged and water has been seeping out for a long time, washing away sand from under the road. So it needs more investigation to find out the extent of the damage.
