From Receptionist to MHT Co-ordinator in one of the UK’s leading Mental Health Law Practices, Hayleigh John proves the Apprenticeships programme can be a gateway to a successful career.
On Monday 3 March 2014 Hayleigh will find out if she is the winner of the Apprentice of the Year Liverpool Chamber Award for 2014. An award that recognises outstanding achievement and commitment local employers show when nurturing local talent. Hayleigh has served her apprenticeship at Hoylake based legal practice Peter Edwards Law and Director Peter Edwards expressed his delight when hearing about Hayleigh’s fantastic achievement.
Peter said, “Hayleigh thoroughly deserves this recognition as she has shown outstanding dedication and willingness to learn from the moment she walked through the door. As a local employer we have supported the Apprenticeships programme for a number of years helping young, local talent take their first steps towards a successful career. We’ll be cheering Hayleigh on Monday night and we’re ever so proud of her achievements.”
The Apprenticeship programme combines on-the-job training with education to help businesses recruit and train staff. With various funding programmes available it is the perfect way for businesses to grow and gain competitive advantage.
