Business Rates Meeting

November 4, 2009 by John · 3 Comments

open signJackie Hall has been in touch with news of a forthcoming meeting for Hoylake business owners and anyone with an interest them.

The meeting is being held to discuss the expected rise in business rates – the concern is that perhaps more Hoylake shops and offices will close due to increased costs as a result of big hikes in business rates.

As we have recently been debating how to encourage more people to spend their money in Hoylake, local business owners now face another hurdle. Feel free to join the meeting to have your say and to listen to the views of other locals.

When: Tuesday November 10th
Time: 5.30pm for 6.00pm
Where: Melrose Hall
Who: All Welcome

Good to see that Threshers’ Hoylake store is not on the list of stores for closure released by the Administrators at noon today. Stores in Upton, Irby, Heswall, Hr Bebington and Birkenhead (Upton Rd) are not so lucky.

    Spotted Peter! Where’s the list?
