Possibly the most unusual story I’ve posted on Hoylake Junction for quite some time and it’s not an early April Fool!
The writing in the sand does of course say Frank.
Frank, or Big Frank, was Dion Dublin’s beloved dog. That’s the Dion Dublin (pictured with Frank) who used to play football in the Premier League etc and now is a co-presenter of Homes Under the Hammer.
Big Frank passed away recently and his ashes were scattered on Hoylake beach the other day. Apparently, the beach at Hoylake was his dog’s favourite place.
Over on twitter Dion wondered if the blue specs of light captured in the photo that his wife took were indeed the spirit of Frank watching over them?
I did ask Mr Dublin why his dog liked Hoylake beach so much, but at time of writing I’ve not received a reply.

Glad Your Big Frank is now rested, I still have my Toby,s ashes above my bed, he got ran into and killed straight away but he was only a.3 year s old small Jack Russell that I rescued 2 years ago and am finding it hard to let him go… Have you got any suggestions? Luckily i’ve still got my 16yr old terrier…..oh I’m Karina…a young 53 year young single mother of a fab lad of 22.
