Hoylake Lifeboat Museum held a fundraising Ball on Saturday 19th at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club.
The event was attended by The Mayor and Mayoress of Wirral and Esther McVey MP.
An auction helped raise nearly £2000 on the night, and organisors say this total is expected to rise as further money comes in.
In a short speech the Mayor, Mr Gerry Ellis, praised the vision of the Museum’s Founder and past Chairman, John Parr, in setting up the Museum Trust, and the community spirit of the Directors of Hylgar Properties in purchasing the old Lifeboat Station, to give the Museum a home. He went on to wish the new Chair, Hazel Langley, and the talented Committee and Volunteers of The Museum every success in the future.
