The empty HSBC bank at The Quadrant on Market Street (pictured above when open) could become a dental surgery if planning permission is granted.
The former bank has been empty since it closed in March 2011, leaving Hoylake without a major bank branch, but could soon have a new lease of life as a dental practice.
A planning application has just been submitted for change of use to a dental surgery containing five consulting rooms plus offices, waiting room, lab, etc. It is not clear if the development is speculative or whether there are dentists waiting to use the premises. No additional public parking is to be created at either the front or rear of the building though two public car parks are near by.
Does Hoylake need a new dental practice to supplement those at Carlton Terrace? Or would you like to see the empty building being used for other purposes? Is it good news that a vacant high street property could soon be open again? Have your say in the comments below.
