Can anyone remember the cafe on Market Street, between Elm Grove and Melrose Avenue. I think it was run by Pat Brumfitt. But she made a good cup of tea or coffee and some delicious cakes and all at a very reaonable price.

In 1973 there was a cafe somewhere in that stretch run by a Mrs. Jellicoe, but more than that I cannot tell you.

The time that I was refering to was about 1971 to at least 1976 and, if I remember correctly there were two shops that shared one entrance way, you went through the door on the left to the cafe but I can’t remember what the other shop was. It was about four doors up from the wine store.
